COMMANDCASE (IP 66): MODERN OPERATING AND CONTROL ENCLOSURES
Rugged commandCASE is ideal for mounting on suspension arms in challenging environments. Its diecast aluminium casing can withstand hard knocks – and the IP 66 ingress protection provided by a polyurethane seal will safeguard your electronics from dust and temporary flooding. The IP 66 rating is based on a three-minute test: 100 litres of water per minute (100 kPa at a distance of three metres).
Ergonomic handles with curved corners make commandCASE easy and convenient to manoeuvre when it’s mounted on a support arm (such as profiPLUS 50 or taraSMART). These distinctive handles can be removed, should you wish to mount commandCASE directly to a wall or machine.
There are three standard versions of commandCASE – all of which have a recess in the cover to accommodate a membrane keypad, front plate or display panel:
- Version CC has a hinged lid and a quick-action closure that requires no internal space. This closure is available with a lock on request.
- Version CCS has a hinged lid, screw-fixed from the rear.
- Version CCV has a fixed lid, also screw-fixed from the rear. Supports hold the lid in place when it is open.
At the rear, the screw channels are fitted with cover caps which also serve as edge protection. Inside, there are threaded screw bosses for mounting assemblies and other components. The enclosures are powder coated in light grey (RAL 7035) as standard; custom colours are also available. Choose from six sizes (200 x 230 x 120 mm to 300 x 430 x 120 mm ). Mounting plates are available as accessories.
ALUFACE (IP 65, IP 66): PRACTICAL AND VERSATILE OPERATING AND CONTROL ENCLOSURES
Versatile and cost-effective aluFACE is at home in a range of industrial settings. It can be secured to a wall, bolted to a machine – or larger sizes can be mounted on a suspension arm. The large number of aluFACE variants and sizes makes it simple to specify the right enclosure without the need for much customisation.
Choose from a whole host of variants with diecast aluminium base sections and either diecast or extruded frame lids:
- KSE – with a raised framework and a two-piece lid with hidden fixings. The deep lid recess can protect larger buttons or other controls.
- KCE – with a flat framework and a two-piece recessed lid.
- KE – with a flat, single-piece aluminium frame.
- KTE – protects connection technology in a separate chamber that can be opened independently.
- KVE – flat framework, two-piece lid.
- KVF – flat framework, flat bottom section.
Together, these six versions create 65 different permutations. Sizes range from 120 x 120 x 80 mm (a KVF) to 320 x 640 x 153.3 mm (a KSE). All this makes it much easier to specify exactly the right enclosure for your electronics – saving space (and therefore budget).
SPECIFY CUSTOMISED COMMAND ENCLOSURES

Quite often, less is more when it comes to customisation. Yes, we can powder coat or paint the entire enclosure in any colour you like (based on RAL, Pantone or match-to-sample specifications). But specifying colour highlights for just one part of the enclosure – such as the lid framework on aluFACE – can look very striking; it’s a smart and subtle way to add branding.
